What’s on your Texas bucket list? There are plenty of places to go throughout the state, but when it gets hot, Altitude H2O in Grapevine is worth the stop!
Thank you to Altitude H2O for a new way to do lake!
Y’all, it gets hot in Texas. #obviously
And when it does, we all head for water. Lakes, pools, creeks, ocean, water parks, mud puddles – whatever can cool you down.
Then there’s the next level…a floating water park complete with trampolines, challenges and diving platforms.
Altitude H2O is home to the largest floating aqua park obstacle course in Texas. Located on Grapevine Lake in Meadowmere Park, the enormous floating playground brings a whole new way to enjoy the water. Kids ages 6 and up along with family and friends can slip, slide and have tons of fun at the Wibit Aqua Park.
Before headed to Altitude H20, make sure you bring a few things:
- Sunscreen (there’s no where to buy any)
- Food/snacks (this is a public park so you can make a day at the lake
- Towels
- Any waterproof case if you plan to take your phone in the water
- Chairs (because there is minimal places to sit)
- $5 in addition to your admission for access into the park
- Wear your bathing suit (there’s no where to change!)
- Don’t worry you don’t need a lifejacket – they have those for you!
Upon getting your parking spot and passes, you’ll be given a time to be ready for your turn (along with up to 99 other people during your assigned time.) Then you’ll get your life jacket and receive instructions / orientation about safety and tips to have the best time. Then you’re off to the races (which means you’ll be swimming to the course…so be ready for a little work out because you can’t touch!)
Now here’s the fun part – it’s time to party. (And you can even host your own birthday party or special event here!)
And man what a workout! Our family felt the fun and the exercise as we attempted to conquer the obstacle course. And while it wasn’t easy for any of us, we all had a great time and felt like a champ when time was called (and for us, we were ready for some rest!)
