Back in the Philippines, we have these early morning or midnight masses 9 days prior to Christmas. We have a belief that if you complete the 9 days, your wish will be granted. During this time, bazaars and pop up shops are usually found near churches. So after mass, people can shop or eat Filipino delicacies and pastries that were available during the Holiday season only.
